Arne Jacobsen left behind a large number of works as an architect and designer representing Northern Europe. Chair’s Story on Chair’s Day in April 2023 is one of his masterpieces “Ant Chair”. Starting with that representative work, I would like to talk about a series of molded plywood chairs.

Online course “Nordic design and beautiful daily necessities. Hints for a better life – Focusing on Oda Collection.”
Mr. Noritsugu Oda’s lecture (3 times in total) will be held at Tokai University Lifelong Learning Course. This time, we will learn the background behind the production of many daily necessities, with a particular focus on beautiful daily necessities such as cutlery, tableware, glass, and ceramics. Starting with Mr. Noritsugu Oda’s hint for the way of life, we will consider hints to enrich our daily lives from masterpieces from Northern Europe, Japan, and other region. It will be a course on Scandinavian design following “The secret of Danish design that is loved over time”.
