Designers make things, and excellent products often remind us of their designers. When a work becomes a masterpiece, it is sometimes introduced alongside its designer, which may suggest respect for the designer and the responsibility that comes with making something. When you understand a designer’s intentions or the story behind a product, it can change how you perceive the piece. Therefore, to deeply understand design, it might be important to remember both the product and its designer. The Oda Collection contains thousands of everyday items from around the world and records the names of hundreds of their designers. While it is difficult to remember both the products and their designers, we will introduce one designer for each letter from A to Z, along with a chair they designed, as an opportunity to help you remember.
