Stories: An Exhibition Following the Tales of the Oda Collection

Chairs are among the most familiar pieces of furniture in our daily lives. We use them while eating, working, talking with others and resting. In this sense, just as every person has a unique story, it is no exaggeration to say that every chair has one as well. The Oda Collection comprises a vast number of chairs, each with its own story. Some reflect the circumstances of their creation, the evolution of their design or the era in which they were made. Others are connected to films or books, while some have fascinating stories about how they became part of the collection. This exhibition explores these diverse narratives through the chairs themselves. We hope that the story behind each chair will evoke visitors' own memories of chairs that have accompanied them throughout their lives, offering a renewed appreciation of these familiar objects and the role they have played in our personal histories.
